“Called to see if they could look at my car. Check Service Light and Brake light had come on. Break pedal went to floor. Was told I could drop it off but they may not be able to look at it until the next day. I dropped it off that afternoon. They called the next morning with what needed (2 break lines), and the cost. It was a bit more than I figured on and being retired on a fixed income, etc, I would have to see if I could borrow the balance I needed. Called the next morning to let them know I was able to do so and to go ahead with the repairs. They told me the repairs were done and I could pick it up anytime. Great customer service. Great repair job. Very satisfied customer.”

“I called the shop this morning to see if I could have my car towed to the shop today and they were very polite and welcoming. I didn't expect them to have time to even look my car today but they did. They called and quoted me a reasonable price and they fixed it for me right away. I rented a car for the next 2 days but because of their great customer service it's not even needed now. Big thank you to everyone for your help today, I will be back!”

“Stupidly, I completely filled my VW Jetta with gasoline rather than diesel whilst at the Kwik Trip in Waukesha. I called a local tow company to get me to Lake County Auto Care in Pewaukee.

The service was amazing. The vehicle was towed at 11am and was repaired by 4:00pm right before they closed. The bill was so reasonable and included the tow fee, a fresh full tank of diesel and the labor. The total bill was $280 which was significantly better than j anticipated for a fuel drain.

The fact they immediately set to work to get me back on the road before the weekend was truly appreciated. This is a company that we’re friendly, professional and clearly did a great job for a great price.

They called me up before collection and explained what they did and how they were able to fix the problem in the most cost effective way. The receptionist left me a voicemail message too (Amy).

I’m sad to have broken down but really happy to have found a good reputable auto shop to do the work. I would definitely use this shop again.”

“They really stand by their work and I highly recommend Lake Country Auto. About one month ago, I used Lake Country Auto Care for the first time. My car would not start when I came out of work. I had the car towed to Lake Country and was told later in the day that it the fuel pump on my Sonata was bad. They replaced the pump. About a week later, my check engine light came on. I called back and told them that the error code indicated a vapor leak. I was told other issues could cause this error code, but I could bring it back in and if there was an issue, they would make it right. As this was my first time using Lake County, I got a second opinion from the dealer I usually used. I was told there was leak around the fuel pump, most likely the o-ring. The dealer also charged me for the diagnosis. I called Lake Country back and told them what the dealer had found. They asked me to bring the car back in. I brought it back in and gave them a copy of the paperwork from my dealer. They did the test and found the leak which they repaired that same day. When I came to pick my car that afternoon I talked with one of the owners and discussed my experience. I was really pleased that she not only listened to me, but also refunded the charge I had paid when I got a second opinion. I have since recommended Lake Country to my co-workers and will not hesitate to bring my car back to Lake Country Auto when it needs work.”

“Ok. Super happy to have found this place. Right around the block from my home. I brought my car in for an Emissions Test. No appointment, and they took it right in.
Whilst waiting I had the pleasure of speaking with a mechanic and he was so friendly, so helpful. I also spoke with a lovely lady who was waiting for her car, she told me she'd been bringing her vehicles here for a long time, and got her whole family to start also.
Place was very busy, at 8 in the morning, and I did schedule an appt. to bring in my car for a new customer complete check over. I'm actually kind of excited to have a place so close to home, local and professional, that I can bring our vehicles to. Have a feeling we'll be long time customers. Highly recommend.”

“You were able to promptly diagnose and remove the brake caliper rattles on my Toyota 4-Runner that mystified the dealer for the last 3 years, as well as fix the emergency brake they disabled. All of your brake work was top notch. Great job!!!”

“I've only been coming here for a few years but have always gotten honest and excellent service on my vehicles. Straightforward advice on what may or may not need to be done and integrity that is seldom found. As an example, recently my wife's car had a sudden braking issue so we brought it in. Not only did they quickly diagnose the issue, they had the integrity and honesty to inform us this is a common problem and had an extended warranty/recall for that part. They then called a local Ford dealer to confirm this issue was covered under the recall and sent me on my way to get it fixed under warranty. A not-so-honest shop could have easily made the repair and charged me for the parts and labor.”

“I needed some basic maintenance on my car (oil change, tire rotation, new windshield wipers), and they got me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Not only that but they called me about 20 minutes later to tell me they forgot to change out my wiper blades and were extremely apologetic about it. I went back to the shop and as soon as I pulled up they ran outside with my wiper blades. I truly appreciate the honesty. It would've been so easy for them to make a few extra bucks by not notifying me of the mistake. Everyone there was very polite and professional, and I will definitely go back for future maintenance and repairs!”

“They got me in to look at a failed home tire rope plug within a half hour of calling. Tires Plus wouldn't touch it and wanted me to buy a full new set of AWD tires to replace my barely used 2017 current ones, but Lake Country patched me up and sent me on my way in minutes. They'll be my first call for car trouble for now on!”

The estimate was comparable to other locations and it was fixed the same day. Quick quality service - I plan to return with any auto repair I have.”

“If you are looking for supreme service, this is the place to go!!! This morning, I frantically stopped in with a flat tire. The gentleman who cheerfully greeted me put me at ease, letting me know they would look at it right away and that "everything will be okay." He discovered a nail in the tire and repaired it immediately. Best of all, he didn't even charge me for this amazing (and in my mind, HEROIC) service! “Wow, these reviews seem like they're for a different place than I go to. I've had nothing but helpful service, accurate diagnoses and timely work done from Lake Country Auto. They're a little more expensive than some other places, but nowhere near dealer prices and well worth the reliable service I've received over the last several years.”

“I am fairly confused reading these reviews. I have been a customer of LCAC for many years, and have come to them for repair on several different cars.I have referred people to their shop for repairs as well. They are usually able to inspect and give me a quote in under a day. I have never had an issue with any of the repairs they have done. I am aware that they may be a little more expensive than other places, according to these reviews,but I have never felt ripped off and always walk away knowing if I did have a problem, they would take care of it. Also, when I look my repairs up on RepairPal or AutoMD, I find that the quoted price usually falls within the online estimate. Still not convinced they are the best overall place to take your car? Well, that's too bad for you, but at least they will be able to get to my car quicker!”

“My engine light was on and after taking it to Boucher where I purchased the car was told it was a 0 2 sensor. I wanted a second opinion and took it to Lake Country Auto Care. They ran a scan and it said I needed a new catalytic convertor. They said it should be covered under warranty because of the low mileage and to take it back to Boucher. They did not charge me anything. I took it back to Boucher with the paperwork of the findings and they did replace my catalytic convertor which would have cost me $900. Thank you Lake Country Auto Care for your help and honesty. I wouldn't have had a leg to stand on without your help! You can bet that I have and will continue to tell anyone who is looking for a honest, competent auto repair shop to stop in at LAKE COUNTRY AUTO CARE in Pewaukee.”

“I had my Jaguar XKR ' S brakes done here. The new Rotors were high quality cross- drilled and the Brembo Calipers got the proper EBC red pads. The brakes work better than new and the price I got allowed me to buy a new set of Hancock's and still be less in total than just my front brakes only at the Jag dealer. These guys are honest and courteous and a blessing to have so close to our home on Nagawicka Lake. We heartily recommend them.”
